Preparing Your Car For A Track Day

A track day punishes a car in ways the street never does: sustained high RPM, repeated 1.2 G braking zones and fluid temperatures that climb for 20 minutes straight. Here is the list we work through before a customer car leaves our shop.

**Fluids**
Fresh brake fluid (DOT 4 or better, bled properly), engine oil at the correct level with a healthy viscosity, and a coolant mix that will not boil under pressure.

**Brakes**
Minimum 50% pad material, no cracks in the discs, and a full caliper inspection. Castrol SRF or an equivalent high-temp fluid makes a measurable difference on heavy German saloons.

**Tyres**
Check pressures cold, examine shoulders for cord damage, and aim for at least 4 mm of tread. Torque every wheel to the factory specification with a calibrated wrench.

Bring the car in for a pre-track inspection and we will hand it back with a signed checklist.
